What we are doing to help ensure lowering the risk COVID-19 while also allowing the kids to play.
Drop off and pick up modifications:
- Following the guidelines of the CDC, there will be a seperate entrance for Kids located on Maple Ave where the parents can drop off their kids which reduces exposure for everyone.
- There will be a mandatory CDC recommended health screening for all campers upon arrival.
- Temperature screening and syptom checking of staff and campers in accordance with CDC guidelines determine ability to participate.
- Staff will administer hand sanitizer for all campers upon arrival and promote healthy hygiene practices.
Sanitization Measures:
- We will be cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces on the field, court and other play surfaces during and between use.
- We have employed a cleaning service to thoroughly clean and disinfect the Field every evening after we close.
Building modification:
- We have installed new Germicidal UV lights in our HVAC systems to purify the air being circulated.
- Camp will be disbursed throughout 6 large rooms to accomodate small group sizes.
Physical Contact:
- Social distance markers will be used on floors or playing fields to ensure that coaches and kids stay 6 feet apart.
- Individual skill development like dribbling or kicking will be the preponderance of the camp as it will reduce the physical closeness and contact between children.
- We will discourage unnecessary physical contact, such as high-fives, handshakes, fist bumps, and hugs.
Staff Requirements:
- All coaches and staff will wear a cloth face covering during camp. Children may opt to wear a cloth face covering during play if feasible. As a reminder, cloth face coverings should not be placed on young children younger than 2 years of age, anyone who has trouble breathing, or is unconscious, incapacitated or otherwise unable to remove the cover without assistance.
Please note, anyone who is sick or has been in contact with someone who has COVID-19— including campers, family members, coaches, and staff — can not attend camp.
COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough, or shortness of breath.
Call your doctor if you think you or a family member is sick.
If someone does get sick during camp, we have plans in place to isolate that person until they can be picked up by a parent or guardian. If you have a specific question about this plan or COVID-19, please contact us for more information. You can also find more information about COVID-19 at www.cdc.gov.
We look forward to seeing you. Now, let’s play!
Thank you and stay healthy,
Sportset Kids
